Worm-on-a-String

The Worm-on-a-String brings a rewarding sensory element to the gift box. The Worm-on-a-String can be viewed as a fidget toy that children love to hold and weave in and out of their fingers. The soft texture is incredibly satisfying for them and they find lots of ways to play with this trendy toy. Our community of kids of all age groups (young and old) had fun naming the worms and even building them houses out of cardboard and treating them like a pet. This Minecraft book is on-trend and in demand. This Search and Find book scored 5/5 for the fun factor, by our panel of kids, as they loved searching for their well-known Minecraft characters from their on-line world. It is very well illustrated, with enough of a challenge for the Year 5-6 age group. Your child should enjoy the quick wins of the ‘look and find’ experience, creating feelings of reward in a healthy and off-screen way. Developmentally, this book is excellent for sharpening those visual perceptual and concentration skills. This is bound to provide hours of off-screen fun!

Colour Your Own Puzzle

This is truly a unique activity – Colour Your Own Puzzle. Each box contains a durable 100-piece jigsaw that won’t wear and tear easily. A handheld 3D maze game. Another toy that was rated 5/5 for the fun factor by our panel of kids. Their parents said they couldn’t put it down! It’s perfect for eye-hand coordination, not to mention concentration and spatial awareness, as your child rotates the spherical puzzle to guide the ball through the 3D maze. Another excellent choice for achieving both quick and progressive wins to ensure captivating screen-free fun. Best of all – it can be played over and over again!

This high quality activity book by Smart Kids, contains 101 puzzles ranging from classic riddles and code cracking games to lateral thinking challenges. It provides a good variety of short engaging puzzles that provide children with a sense of achievement and stimulates their cognitive abilities.

Life in the Ocean Card Game

Professor Noggin’s series of educational Games & Puzzles, including Professor Noggin’s Life in the Ocean Game, encourages kids to learn interesting facts about their favourite subjects. Each of the thirty game cards combines trivia, true or false, and multiple choice about life in the Ocean. A special three numbered die is included, should your child wish to play with friends or siblings, which creates interaction and promotes communication. Definitely a fun way to learn!
