Product Disclaimer
Warning: Some of the toys, activities or games contained in the subscription boxes are a choking hazard as they contain small parts. You acknowledge that these boxes are a choking hazard and are NOT designed for, nor intended for, use by children under the age of 3 years. As such Playwise will not be liable to you or any third party, in whole, or in part, for any claim, liability, damages, loss or costs arising from such use.
Website Pricing
Playwise makes every effort to make sure prices are correct. Prices shown on this website are subject to change at any time, without notice, unless you already have a recurring subscription in place. In this instance you will be afforded 7 days’ notice of any price changes.
In the event a Product offering is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to typographical error or error in pricing or Product information, we reserve the right, prior to the acceptance of your order, to decline or cancel any such orders, whether or not the order has been confirmed and/or your credit/debit card charged. If your credit/debit card has already been charged for the order and we cancel your order, we shall immediately issue a credit to your credit/debit card in the amount of the charge.
Shipping and Delivery
All products are shipped nationwide throughout New Zealand. All shipping costs within New Zealand are free of charge for all our subscription based products. Single Gift Box purchases are charged a shipping fee at either a flat rate or a rate applicable to the shipping region. For international shipping, please contact Playwise directly to enquire about costs. Orders are shipped within 72 hours of receipt of payment.
Playwise uses recognised courier partners of GoSweetSpot to deliver its products. A track & trace email will be automatically emailed to you with the delivery details of your order, including a hyperlink to access up-to-date progress of your order. Any delivery dates provided by Playwise or the assigned courier are estimates only. Playwise reserves the right to make deliveries in instalments if need be.
Privacy & Security
Your privacy is important to Playwise. Please refer to our detailed privacy statement for information in this regard.
In terms of security, Playwise makes use of a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate as well as other measures to ensure that the details you provide are secure. In addition, your credit/debit card details are not held/stored by Playwise, but instead, for recurrent payments, we use the tokenisation feature of our secure PCI compliant Payment gateway.
Refunds, Returns & Replacement
All payments are non-refundable.
If any of the toys, games or activities purchased via a subscription or gift box are found to be faulty, then simply return the box in its entirety, in its original condition, including all packaging and Playwise will replace these goods free of charge.
Ordering
You need to be 18 years or older, to order from Playwise, which can be done via this website by creating a user account. Once your order has been placed and payment has been received, you will be emailed an automated transaction receipt.
Playwise reserves the right at any time after receipt of your order, to accept or decline or cancel your order for any reason. We may require additional verifications or information before accepting any order. Your order is not accepted until we send you shipping information for the order. If we need to cancel all or a part of your order, and payment has already been processed, Playwise will refund the payment or part thereof, via the same payment method used to place the original order.
Payment, Pricing and Promotions
Prices are inclusive of GST at 15% and the currency is NZ dollars. Prices are subject to change at any time. For each product you order on the site, you agree to pay the price applicable for the product inclusive of GST as of the time you submitted your order.
Payments for orders can be made via a credit or debit card associated with VISA or Mastercard. For subscription products, recurring payments are made using the payment information provided at the time of the initial order. You agree for a truncated version of your credit/debit card number or credentials to be stored i.e. the last 4 digits, so that such recurring payments can be made. There is no convenience fee or surcharge payable for any of the above mentioned payment methods.
If you order a subscription to a product (with a monthly term, or a fixed term of 3 months, 6 months or twelve months) you agree that payment for the first month can be deducted immediately and then monthly thereafter (approximately every 30 days). Recurrent payments will continue until the end of term, and you agree that such payments may auto renew at the product price applicable at the time, inclusive of GST, until Playwise has received appropriate notice of cancellation (see cancellation policy).
Note: In the case of a fixed term subscription, you will receive a reminder notification via email, at least seven days prior to the scheduled date for auto renewal of your subscription. This email will include a link to our online cancellation policy.
Playwise reserves the right to change the timing of its billing, in particular, if your payment method has not successfully settled, or there are unforeseen delays that hinder our ability to ship your product or there are changes to your account or subscriptions. You will receive at least 7 days’ notice of any changes to standard billing dates.
Please also note that if your subscription includes a discounted product price for a promotional period, once the promotional period expires, your subscription will renew at the full product price. Therefore, if you purchase a subscription, until such time as you terminate your subscription in accordance with the policy for cancellation, you hereby authorise, agree and assent to Playwise automatically billing your credit card/selected method of payment submitted as part of the order process for such amounts that are due.
Cancellation Policy
Gift subscriptions are not eligible for cancellation – these subscriptions expire after the original term is complete.
All other subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. However please note, if cancellation is within 7 days of the upcoming billing date, your cancellation will only become affective from the following month’s billing date.
Early termination fees may be applicable if cancellation occurs prior to the end of a fixed term subscription i.e. 3, 6, or 12 month subscription plan. These fees are not designed to lock you into a contract. They simply cover the difference between the discounted rate paid during the current fixed term and the monthly subscription rate that would have been payable over the same time period. Early termination fees are not applicable to a monthly subscription plan (month-to-month plan).
At the end of the term, if you do not want the subscription to auto renew, please let us know at least 7 days’ prior to the upcoming date for auto renewal. Once autorenewal has taken place, you can still cancel a subscription at any time, but may then be subject to the early termination fees mentioned above. Rest assured though, you will receive a reminder notification via email, at least 10 days prior to the scheduled date for auto renewal of your subscription. This email will include a link to our online cancellation policy.
Cancellation is easy. You can request cancellation of a subscription by emailing us at info@playwise.co.nz and inform us of the date at which you no longer wish to receive any further products. You can also call us to cancel your subscription on +64 21 263 8241 or follow the online link for even easier cancellation.
Viewing Your Order
Orders placed can be viewed at any time, simply by logging into your account on the website. The status of your ordered products is also available.
Complaints Process
Playwise cares about its customers. If you have a complaint or concern about our products or service levels, please contact us directly, so we can investigate the matter for you and help to resolve the issue. You can do this via our contact us page or by calling us at +64 21 263 8241.
General
These terms and conditions of trade and any contract to which they apply shall be governed by the laws of New Zealand and are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand.
We may change these Terms from time to time. These changes will be effective immediately for new users to the Playwise site. For current subscribers changes will become effective upon the thirty (30) calendar days following our dispatch of an e-mail notice to you. Continued use of the Playwise site following notification of any such changes will indicate your acknowledgement of such changes and your agreement to be bound by the revised terms, inclusive of such changes.
Playwise reserves the right, at any time, to modify, substitute, suspend, or discontinue the sale of any Product or stock item. Current subscribers will be afforded at least 7 days’ notice of any discontinuation.
